Killers Of Late Seikwa Chief Would Be Brought To Book—Veep

The Vice President Kwesi Amissah Arthur,has stated that government would make sure that killers of the late assassinated Chief of Seikwa Nana Kwaku Dwoma Ankoana, Omanhene of the town some months ago would be brought to book.

The Vice President Kwesi Amissah,.made the statement on the 4th of April 2014 when a high powered delegation from the Brong Ahafo region led by the regional minister Kofi- Eric Opoku Manu, Chairman of Council of State Hon Cecilia Johnson, General secretary of the NDC party, Hon Asiedu Nketia and chiefs from the Seikwa traditional area in the Tain District of Brong-Ahafo Region informed him of the final funeral rites of the late chief of Seikwa Nana Kwaku Dwoma Ankoana, Omanhene of the town , at the Flagstaff House in Accra.

Vice president Kwesi Amissah Arthur said he had conferred with President Mahama who has agreed to be there on the said date to join the chiefs and people of the traditional area to give the late chief a befitting burial.

The Krotinhene of the traditional area Nana Yaw Kaka 111 who represented the family said the funeral of the late chief would take place from 15th to 18 th August 2014,so they were at the Flagstaff House officially to inform government of the final funeral rites of the late chief who passed away in November last year, they presented two bottles of Schnapps and two bottles of Whisky as tradition demands.

Nana Ankoana was shot around 2000 hours by unknown assassins on November 4 at his private residence at Seikwa.
