Feature Article In The End, The Supreme Court Finds Woyome Guilty!
JUL 29, 2014 LISTEN

God is Supreme! Hallelujah! Finally, the Ghanaian swindler of the century, Alfred Agbesi Woyome, has been ordered by the Supreme Court to refund to the State GHc51.2 Million he fraudulently obtained as judgment debt payment. Many Ghanaians, including the defender of the defenceless, that no-nonsense vociferous guy from Kumawu, Rockson Adofo, took Woyome on. He knew he had been aided by people like Barton Odro, Alex Segbefia and Betty Mould-Iddrisu to dubiously avail himself of that money. Judgment debt payment indeed!!

I was charged of contempt of Court for publishing articles on Peacefmonline, Ghanaweb and Modernghana, for not only informing the Ghanaian public of the thievery, but also, requesting the court to expedite the hearing of, and the ruling on, the case. Refer to Peacefmonline.com publication of 15th March 2012 titled, "Woyome Sues 5 NPP Officials, JoyFM's Kwesi Twum, Despite, Peacefmonline Editor & Others"

Let us be very thankful to Kennedy Agyepong who first leaked that gargantuan corruption undertaken by Alfred Agbesi Woyome, to the Ghanaian public and the media.

Ghanaians owe Brother Martin Amidu, the greatest thanks of all time. He took it upon himself to pursue Woyome in court, when all hope was lost. Bravo, Martin Amidu. You single-handedly pursued this rouge in court. In the end, you have won a historic case that has brought smiles to the face of all reasonable Ghanaians. More grease to your elbows, Brother Amidu.

We shall uproot the cancerous rot, in which case it is the institutional corruption, from the Ghanaian society. It will take time but with dedication and perseverance, we shall get there.

Supreme Court orders Woyome to refund Ghc51.2 M
The Supreme Court has unanimously ordered businessman, Alfred Agbesi Woyome to refund Ghc51.2million to the state.

Graphic Court Correspondent, Mabel Aku Baneseh reports that the court said Mr Woyome got the money out of an invalid and unconstitutional contract.

According to the court, the contracts upon which he made and received the claim was in contravention of Article 181 (5) of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana, which requires such contracts to be laid before and approved by Parliament.

The court was ruling on a review application filed by a former Attorney General, Mr Martin Amidu on Tuesday.

The eleven-member panel was presided over by the Chief Justice, Mrs Georgina Theodora Wood.

Other members of the panel were Julius Ansah, Sophia Adinyira, Rose Owusu, Jones Dotse and Anin Yeboah.

The others were Paul Baffoe Bonnie, N. S. Gbadegbe, Vida Akoto Bamfo, A. A. Bennin and J.B. Akamba.

A detailed report of proceedings in court will be published soon.
