Accra, April 30, GNA - Brother Immanuel Agbozo, Evangelist, on Friday congratulated Ghanaian workers for the peaceful and responsible manner in which they had conducted themselves over the years.
"Your support has contributed a lot to the peace and stability the country is currently enjoying", he said.
Bro. Agbozo, who is the Leader of the Ghana Evangelical Society, at a press briefing in commemoration of Workers' Day, which falls on Saturday, May 1, said it had been their patience and endurance that had liberated the country from the clutches of darkness, political confusion, violence, war and bloodshed.
He stated, however, that Ghana must come out of the old order of economic exploitation, the open enslavement of labour and foreign control, adding that it was pertinent to the State that education and capital be made essential functions of labour, as they helped to raise labour content, productivity and output.
He urged workers to eschew bribery and corruption, fraud and robbery, which had become the prevailing modus operandi in the perverse, wicked and materialist pursuits of the world and to be truthful and punctual to their duties
