Legon, April 30, GNA- Students of the Commonwealth Hall of the University of Ghana, Legon, on Friday afternoon demonstrated against the "delay in releasing the results of the Student Representative Council's (SRC) elections held recently at Legon.
The students marched through the main University entrance to the Legon Police Station, apparently to lodge a complaint. They blocked the main road from Madina to Accra and prevented vehicles from Legon going outside.
It would be recalled that two concerned students of the University of Ghana recently gave an ultimatum to the Electoral Commission (EC) to declare publicly winners of the SRC executive elections held at the University of Ghana campus last week.
Because this was not done, the students took to the streets to show their concern. 30 April 04
