On reaching a section of road, the driver, in a bid to wrongful overtake other cars, knocked down Haruna, who was riding a King motorbike and dragged him for about 100 meters.

He was subsequently remanded by a Nalerigu Magistrate Court in the East Mamprusi District  presided over by Robert Agbleze to reappear on the May 29, 2013 to enable police conclude investigations into the matter.

Meanwhile, residents have expressed worry at the high number of deaths recorded on that section of road, disclosing that five persons had been killed in the last six months.

They have appealed to the Department of Urban Roads and the District Assembly to construct speed ramps to prevent accidents since the motorists have consistently refused to adhere to road regulations.
