A Paralytic Received His Healing, You Are Next

Friend, many Christians are struggling in life because they have disconnected themselves from the true source where they can have a solution to their challenges. Without Jesus Christ, there will be no end to your struggles and sufferings. With faith in the Lord Jesus, there is no problem you cannot solve.

There is this interesting story about a paralytic from birth who received his healing through faith in the Lord.

Alms
The paralytic was always brought by friends to the Beautiful Gate, the entrance to the Temple where people often gathered to worship the LORD. He always begged for alms from visitors to the Temple.

One brilliant afternoon, Peter and John, both disciples of Christ, decided to go to the Temple to pray with other worshippers. As they were passing by, the paralyzed man begged them for money. Unfortunately the disciples did not have money which made the paralytic disappointed. Peter told him, “I have neither silver nor gold.”

Different Offer
But that was not the end of the matter. Peter made a different offer when he said, “What I have I give to you. In the name of Jesus of Nazareth, the Messiah, I tell you to stand up and walk! You are healed!”

The paralytic became instantly healed. He stood up and walked. He shouted, “Praise be to God! I can walk!”

The people stopped praying and looked at the healed man with total amazement. They knew the man was lame from birth and now he was healed and could walk, jump and run around. It was a miracle in deed.

Faith
As the crowd looked on in awe, Peter said to them, “You're looking at us as if we had done this miracle ourselves. But you should all know that Jesus was the one who gave us the power to heal. It was this same Jesus, the one who you did not accept as your Messiah. You all chose Barabbas the murderer instead of Jesus, and because of you the Messiah was killed. But God brought him back to life. We can testify to that, and the proof is in the beggar's being healed. This beggar's own faith in Jesus has healed him.”

Sense of Remorse
After Peter's pronouncement some of the people became sad; they knew they acted wrongly in their maltreatment of Jesus. They were remorseful. Peter advised them to renew their lives by accepting Jesus as their Lord and personal savior and ask for the forgiveness of their sins.

Phenomenal Growth
The healing of the paralytic was a turning point in the lives of the apostles. Their preaching was accepted and this resulted in the phenomenal growth in the number of believers at the time.

Conclusion
The paralytic received his healing because of his faith in Jesus. Are you battling with a protracted illness? Are you having challenges that seem to defy solution? Repent of your sins. Believe in the Lord; he is the solution to all your problems. Turn over your burden to the Lord and he will give you rest. You can start a totally new life by having faith in Jesus. It worked for the paralytic; it will work for you as well.
