Emirate Opens New Office In Accra

Emirates, one of the leading airlines operating in Ghana, has opened a new office in Accra as it marks 10 years of operation of scheduled services between Accra, Ghana and Dubai, UAE.

The new office, located on the 7th floor of the Moevenpick Ambassador Hotel's Emporium, features new upgrade including e-ticket issuing and service touching-points in line with global standards.

Hendrik Du Perez, Emirates Country Manager, during the opening ceremony, said the new office is expected to consolidate the airline's position in the country and offer quality services to customers.

'This is to show our commitment. The old office had been used for 10 years and Emirates seeks certain standards. Our clients' on-board experience need to be as good as the off-board experience and that is why we have got this new state-of-the-art office here. So the journey actually starts when they (clients) come into the office not when they get on the plane,' he said.

Du Perez said, 'As the economy of the country grows, the aviation sector in Ghana has also seen a marked development and Emirates has been honoured to be part of that. This new office is a confirmation of the confidence that Emirates has in the growth of Ghana's economy and our continued support by offering high quality services to travellers Emirates.'

'Ghana is an important market for the airline and we are committed to ensuring that all our clients have access to the best customer service in order to facilitate business with Emirates,' Mr. Perez said.

Emirates began operations in the country in 2004 and subsequently introduced four weekly flights from Accra to Dubai.

Last year, the airline introduced the Boeing 777-300ER aircraft to replace Airbus A340-500 aircraft on the Accra route.

It now operates daily flights on a Boeing 777-300ER from Accra to Dubai with onward connections to more than 142 destinations in 80 countries.

The aircraft offers 354 seats in three-class configuration-Eight First Class Suites, 42 seats in Business Class, 310 seats in Economy Class.
