Thomas Adenkia was arrested by the Abuakwa Police in Kumasi after failing to snatch a Toyota Fortuner with registration number GT 3010-13 at knife-point.

The driver of the car mustered courage and sped off, but Thomas firmly held the steering wheel.

The car eventually veered off the road and landed in a big gutter, which attracted scores of people to the scene.

The mob that rushed to the accident scene arrested Thomas and handed him over to the Abuakwa Police.

The matter had since been forwarded to the office of the Ashanti Regional Police Commander, DCOP Kofi Boakye, which handles all robbery cases in the area.

Police report indicated that the driver of the Toyota Fortuner stopped at a spot at Abuakwa to buy food.

Minutes after he stopped the car, Thomas, jumped into it from nowhere and pulled a knife on the driver and ordered him to get out.

Thomas on Tuesday morning revealed his story to DAILY GUIDE in the presence of DCOP Kofi Boakye.

The suspect said some witches compelled him to snatch the Toyota Fortuner from its owner and expressed surprise at his conduct and subsequent happenings.
