The Director of the Immigration Advice Service Barrister Ono Okeregha JP along with the Marketing Executive Olachi Okoro and other senior managers paid a courtesy visit to the Nigerian High Commissioner to the UK Ambassador Tafida at Nigeria House on 31st October 2013.
The IAS Director outlined the services that the firm offer which can assist many Nigerians to navigate the complex UK immigration laws. Assisting and informing Nigerians about visas for the UK before they leave the shores of Nigeria was also discussed. The delegation was well received by the High Commissioner who has committed to having the IAS attend his planned Town Hall Meetings with Nigerians in major UK cities commencing shortly to deal with immigration queries from attendees..
Additionally, the IAS would be undertaking a monthly immigration clinic at Nigeria House in London to commence in March 2013 where people with immigration issues in the UK will receive consultation on their matters.
The IAS and the High Commission pledged to continue to work together and will continue to explore avenues to improve information and access to decent, competent and profession legal advice on immigration matters which the Immigration Advice Service offers.
