Gifts For The Season X’mas Bazaar

The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts is collaborating with the National Theatre Company to organise the first ever 'Gift for the Season Bazaar – 2013' from Thursday, 12th December to Sunday, 15th December, 2013 at the National Theatre, Accra from 9:00am-4:00pm each day.

Whilst the bazaar is to raise awareness on the need to buy made in Ghana arts and craft products as gifts during the festive season, it also aims at inculcating into our children the culture of patronising locally produced artefacts.

The event will be held jointly with the Accra International Children's Arts Festival (Kiddafest) – 2013. The opening ceremony will take place at 3:00pm on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at the National Theatre.

The Ministry hopes to institutionalize this bazaar as an annual event and use it as a catalyst to instill in Ghanaians the taste for locally produced products, especially artifacts. The bazaar is also to serve as a platform for showcasing, marketing and patronizing of products of the creative industry.
