THE COLLEGE for Community and Organization Development (CCOD) in partnership with the Institute of Organization Development (IOD) has launched the international conference for Organization Development (OD) practitioners in Accra.

The four day conference, slated for November 18 at the Fiesta Royal Hotel in Accra, seeks to bring together NGOs' managers, religious leaders, politicians, business executives, public officials, company shareholders and OD professionals to enlighten them in the knowledge of OD models, skills on how to be able to use the action research model and tools to engage in OD assignments and projects.

The event would also provide participants with the knowledge to improving organization effectiveness, tactics and techniques, new leadership competence and skills in team building and management as well as upgrade knowledge of OD professionals who are already consulting to satisfy their clients demand.

Gabriel Gbiel Benarkuu, a certified OD consultants reading from a prepared speech said the conference was going to be the avenue for businesses to have new directions in order to succeed.

'The conference will ensure changing attitudes, behaviours, values, strategies so that organizations can adapt to competitive actions, technological advancement and the fast-paced of change in the environment,' he said

Mr Benarkuu explaining the conference package said it would include presentation by international OD practitioners and certificates to participants that would make them join the international OD experts.

'Participants are expected from West Africa and universities in the country,' he said.
