Asiedu-Nketia Is A Darn Rich Liar

In case he has so soon forgotten that Ghanaians were fully alive and awake when he was busy scamming us with his schlocky Bui Dam cement blocks, and was being cynically and staunchly defended by one of the Amissah-Arthur boys who played CEO, then Asiedu-Nketia ought to be reminded of this fact (See "Asiedu-Nketia Runs Away From Riches" Daily Guide/Ghanaweb.com 8/15/13).

Back then, the General-Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) doubled as a member of the board-of-directors of the Bui Dam Corporation and a vendor to the same Corporation, selling his bricks at twice the price paid his competitors and did not see any conflict of interest in this whatsoever.

He would even shamelessly vaunt that his many years as a cabinet appointee and experience in politics authorized him to milk the people with reckless abandon; and so I really don't know why the man who is popularly called General Mosquito is so worried sick about being perceived by the operatives of the globally renowned and respected Ghana Integrity Initiative (GII) as easily one of the most corrupt Ghanaian politicians alive.

The fact of the matter is that Mr. Johnson Asiedu-Nketia is corrupt to the bone and heart. To be certain, the man worships corruption, is married to corruption and practices corruption for a living; he also eats and drinks corruption. And he knows this for a fact. But, of course, being an inner-circle member of the Trokosi-dominated National Democratic Congress, he can only plead and sing in a falsetto voice of abject denial.

For some curious reason, most of the key operatives of the so-called National Democratic Congress think that anytime they vehemently deny a forensically provable charge of corruption, such flagrant and outright criminal act of corruption immediately evaporates into thin air. It is this same approach and attitude that they have taken towards the Supreme Court petition over the legitimacy and integrity of Election 2012 in general, and the patently fraudulent declaration of President John Dramani Mahama as the winner by the criminally minded Dr. Kwadwo Afari-Gyan, the Electoral Commissioner, in particular.

Predictably, Mr. Mahama has vehemently denied that he was, indeed, declared winner of Election 2012 by the fanatical Nkrumacrat and former political science lecturer at the University of Ghana. Instead, the Russian-trained former Shit-Bomber for Mr. Rawlings now claims to have been declared winner and gazetted into the presidency by Divine Providence, or God Himself!

You see, it is rather comical that the same Mr. Asiedu-Nketia who is now vehemently decrying the survey of the Ghana Integrity Initiative as patently bogus and reflective of the brainchild of a team of anti-democratic nation wreckers, was the same NDC opposition leader who resoundingly applauded the GII for releasing the findings of a survey some six, or so, years ago that indicated that most Ghanaians were of the perception that the Kufuor-led New Patriotic Party government was wracked with unprecedented level of corruption.

But what is even more scandalous is for the NDC chief scribe to assert that his being widely perceived as a corrupt political operative necessarily impugns the quality and integrity of Fourth Republican Ghanaian democracy. The fact of the matter is that Mr. Asiedu-Nketia and Ghanaian democracy are not one and the same political animal.
