Ghana international defender Daniel Opare has returned to full force for Belgian giants Standard Liege who recorded a 3-1 victory over Icelandic side KR Reykjavik FC in the second qualifying round of the Uefa Europa League.

The 23-year-old former Real Madrid Castilla versatile full-back had his season frustrated by a string of injuries as he was limited to just 13 appearances.

But Opare is gaining back his confidence he starred for Liege as they eased to victory over the minnows at the KR-Völlur.

He paraded the lines and helped his Liege initiate more attacks as Brazilian Kanu, Batshuayi and Mpoku helped the Pro League side fight-back from a goal down to record an emphatic win over their host at the Iceland capital.

As Liege's season begins to roll in from European games to domestic games, the 2009 Ghana U20 star is expected to play a crucial role in their campaign as they plan to stage a challenge for the Pro League title.
