They are to direct enquiries concerning contributions and donations to the Secretariat of the Planning Committee which is located at the State Protocol Office, State House, Accra.

July 24, 2013 will mark exactly one year of the demise of the former Ghanaian leader and the state has outlined a series of events to observe the most tragic event ever to have hit the country – the death of a sitting president.

“Those wishing to make contribution by cheque should make it payable to the (Atta Mills) Funeral Planning Committee”, a statement said.

Donors may also contact Kofi Nyantakyi and Ben Nunoo-Mensah on 0244-951626 and 0244-797637, respectively.

All contributions/donations will be publicly acknowledged.

Parliament reconvened same day to swear-in vice president John Dramani Mahama to finish the uncompleted term of the late president.

His remains were interred on Friday, August 10, 2012, near the former seat of government - the Castle, Accra at a place now known as Asomdwee Park
