PRIZES:
The Total Prize fund of the tournaments is GHS 1000.00 (if over 40 participants register)

1. GENERAL PRINCIPLES:
FIDE Laws of Chess and FIDE Tournament Rules are valid in the tournament

2. PAIRINGS:
7 round Swiss System. Swiss Manager (unicode) software shall be used for pairings.

3. PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS: Entry Fee, Tempo.
CATEGORY: Both rated and non-rated players are invited

REGULATIONS
4. TIE BREAKS:
i. Following tie-break procedures shall be used by order for final ranking; Buchholz-1,

Sonneborn-Berger, the number of wins, the number of games played by black pieces.

ii. Final ranking will be considered for the awards for top three degrees.

iii. Money prizes shall be shared equally between the players in the same score group.

iv. There will be prize money for the best female player.

5. APPEALS:
An Appeals Committee shall be elected during the Technical Meeting at the start of the tournament. Any appeals against chief arbiter's decision should be made in a written form and not later than 15 minutes of the end of the relevant round.

Appeals Fee is 10 GHS.

7. SPECIAL SUBJECTS:
i. FIDE Laws Of Chess 6.6.b is valid(Any player who arrives at the chessboard 30 minutes later than the scheduled starting time of the session, shall lose the game).

ii. FIDE Laws Of Chess 9.1.b is valid.
iii. Control of the registration
a. All the players should check for their registrations at the control desk before the technical meeting.

b. The pairings for the first round will be done at 0920 hrs

Players who arrive after the registration period, will be added at the bottom of the list.

c. Players who arrive after the first round will be paired in the second round. Before the second round, the standings will be updated. After the second round pairings are announced, new players will not be accepted.

iv. All participants accept to obey this regulation.
