Accra, Nov 10, GNA - The Reverend Dr Nicholas Duncan Williams, the Presiding Bishop of Christian Action Faith Ministries International, is to be officially inaugurated and enthroned as an Archbishop on December 7, 2003.

His elevation to the high office of Archbishop by the Trans Atlantic and Pacific Alliance of Churches (TAPAC) in collaboration with the International Board of Bishops in May 2002 and consequent publication in the London gazette was based on the recommendation of the interviewing Board of Ecclesiastical Affairs of TAPAC.

It followed years of dedicated service and faithfulness in following the Lord Jesus Christ and a mark of success in his office as a Bishop as attested to by fellow bishops and ministers, who he leads and guides.

A statement signed by Rev Gracer Bondzie, Church Administrator on behalf of the Management Board of the Church, said Rev Duncan-Williams would after his inauguration assume the position of the Archbishop of CAFM International and over 150 sister and affiliate churches worldwide. Besides as an Archbishop of TAPAC, he would have oversight responsibility over churches that belong to TAPAC, especially those in Africa.

His new role would include providing leadership, guidance and instruction in sound doctrines, and confute those who contradict the true doctrine, nominate and ordain other bishops and ministers. He would additionally work to keep the unity of the Church as well as counsel those in position of authority on issues of spiritual, social and economic life of the people.

The Archbishop-elect has been the general overseer of the Christian Action Faith Ministries International for over 25 years. He has published books on the powers of prayer and host a 30-minute TV programme "Voice of Inspiration".
