Albert Adomah says the Black Stars are not getting ahead of themselves after two friendly victories, insisting that the real challenge for the team is when the Africa Cup of Nations begins in South Africa.
The winger won for himself a place in the Black Stars squad for this month's competition and followed up with his first senior goal in Sunday's 4-2 friendly win against Tunisia in Abu Dhabi.
And the win over the Carthage Eagles came three days after Ghana had beaten Egypt 3-0 in another warm-up match.
But Adomah explains that the tournament will provide the Black Stars with their biggest test ever.
“We've won two friendlies now and now we can focus on the tournament. The real challenge now lies ahead,” Adomah said.
“Hopefully we can show the same performance that we've shown in the friendlies and win games.”
Team bonding remains crucial and for the 25 year-old, one of ten Nations Cup debutants in the Ghana squad, he is comfortable within the group.
“I am settled in the team not because of yesterday's [Win over Tunisia] performance. The first time I got here, I thought I got settled in the team.
“I was getting used to the players, the players welcomed me and at the same time I thought I'm back home because obviously it's Ghana.
“I'm not looking for attention. I'm here to play games and when we win, it's the greatest feeling of all.”
