Enchi (W/R), Oct 31, GNA- Frequent electric power cuts are causing inconvenience to customers of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) in some towns in the Aowin-Suaman District of the Western Region. Mr Kofi Amoah-Tawiah, a farmer, told the Ghana News Agency that although people have complained to the ECG the problem still persists, disrupting social and commercial activities.
Those who are affected include cold store operators, tailors and dressmakers, drinking bar operators and ice water sellers. As a result household electrical gadgets and appliances including fridges, television sets, deep freezers and sound systems get damaged, Mr Amoah-Tawiah said.
Mr Amoah-Tawiah appealed to the ECG to work hard to find lasting solution to the problem.
