It has come to the attention of my office that Hopeson Adorye, a member of NPP's Communication Team, has assaulted Mr. Fusseini Donkor , a Member of the Ashanti Regional Communications Team of the NDC, on Kessben FM in Kumasi last weekend.
I am hereby exercising my authority as a member of the National Executive Committee (NEC) and the Deputy National Propaganda Secretary to direct and advice all our communicators, supporters, panelists and sympathizers to distance themselves from Mr Hopeson Adorye.
Under no circumstance should any of our party communicators should agree to appear on any radio or television programme with Mr Hopeson Adorye on the show, until further notice.
Furthermore, any of our communicators who feels threatened on any platform should kindly boycott that programme. We have observed lately that some NPP panelists are becoming increasingly aggressive towards our panelists.
We advise our communicators to report any such unruly conducts to the relevant authority. Violence begets violence. If you are not comfortable with a co-panelist, just leave the studio.
My advice to the media (the electronic) is that they should be very circumspect regarding the calibre of persons they invite on their shows.
We in the NDC are committed to peace before, during and after the elections and we will not hesitate at all to crack the “whip on any of our own whose utterances and actions” tend to jeopardize the peace of the nation. We do not see this election as a “do and die” affair. We are very confident of winning fairly.
Any of our members who flouts this instruction does it so to his own doom. Thank you!
Yours Sincerely,
Solomon Nkansah
(Dep.National Propaganda Secretary)
