The Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Ghana (CLOGSAG) in the Ashanti region has formed a taskforce to ensure members comply with a directive to lay down tools.
The Association declared nationwide strike on Wednesday to press home demand for payment of market premium following their migration unto the Single Spine Salary Structure.
Information available to Luv Fm indicates not all members are presently heeding to the call as some civil servants remain at post.
Regional CLOGSAG Organizer, Kojo Atuahene explained some departments were yet to access the directive hence the non-compliance.
He however says the taskforce will ensure members comply with directive to lay down tools.
Mr. Atuahene also indicated the National Farmers' Day activities will be impacted by the strike because district directors of agriculture and other civil servants are unlikely to participate in the programme in their various localities.
The Fair Wages and Salaries Commission has described the action as unnecessary.
