FUNERAL STATEMENT ON HIS EXCELLENCY PROFESSOR JEA MILLS
17.09.2012 LISTEN

His Excellency Professor JEA Mills, from Ekumfi Otuam of the Central Region born, on 21 July 1944 at Tarkwa in the Western Region, was recalled by his ancestors while serving as 3rd President of the 4th Republic of Ghana habitat. Yet the living is in dispute as to the causes on 24th July 2012 at a disputed undisclosed location and time; with attendant shock and grief of Ghana person, Africa person and Friends of Ghana.

Ghana person and Ghana-centred Organisations froze in shock and grief on the passing on of His Excellency JEA Mills. Notably, Ghana's Stools and Skins that embody the souls of the nationalities that own Ghana such as: The Dakpema, Chief of Tamale and his elders; The Chiefs of Asogli Traditional Area; Nana Kobena Nketsiah V, Paramount Chief of Essikadu Traditional Area; Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene; Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panyin II, the Okyenhene; Nene Abraham Kabu Akuaku (III), paramount chief of Ada traditional area and the president of the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs; and Togbui Okpekpewuokpe Dagadu VIII, Paramount Chief of Akpini Traditional Area and his Court, Kpando.

Ghana did not convulse with shock and grief over his untimely passing-on merely because he was the President; or out of just love for him or was a good and peaceful man – Asomdwehene (King of Peace). After all, while the living enjoyed his company, Ghana person was negative to President Mills: “Atta Mortuary Man”, useless, he is not a leader, blind and visionless administration, etc., ad nauseam. In the event, the deepest psychological, emotional and spiritual trauma and national frustration was expressing itself on the global stage. A Victoria Awo Yakah of Mafi Aklamador said it: “that in some of these circumstances people are actually crying for themselves and not the deceased”.

Ghana person broke down in shock, grief and tears united as one Afrika person because His Excellency President JEA Mills was no longer standing at that corner, Castle chapel door or junction to wax-lyrical the national psyche; an all but forgotten aria of our national political economy, namely, the theory of national productive powers to build a new wealthy, powerful, united Post-colonial Ghana habitat, in a strong and united Afrika, and the hopes and aspirations that held. This theory of national productive powers expressed itself in the decision of Ghana's nationalities to send their children to school to acquire the tools for better decision-making. The destined responsibility of the Afrika Army were to return to the nationalities to enable them make better decisions through informed, written, verbal or implied consent to build, defend and renew the habitat. This better society for His Excellency President JEA Mills came to be captured by the Better Ghana vision. The predecessor to this Better Ghana Vision is indeed the Best Ghana vision that CPP of the First Republic of Ghana was on course to build.

His Excellency President JEA Mills himself, as a conscript of this 'Africa Army' acquired all the credentials that should have enabled the building of a better Ghana habitat. His PhD was after all in 'taxation and development', and therefore part of Ghana's global 'army' that command and inhabit institutes of high/higher learning; of professionals in/from health, medicine, sciences, engineering, law, communication technologies, Finance and Banking, faith centres, Trade Unions and Workers, Commerce - shopkeepers, traders, Transport and drivers, the armed-military, agriculture, Mothers etc.. As a conscript in the Ghana army of professionals he was well-trained, skilled and tooled to heave the Fante nationality Shield and Spear in defence of Afrika habitat. Forward Ever: on integrating 'Ghana armies' into a formidable force; and Backward Never: on prioritising those bearing offensive/defensive weapons of war, above others. It is this loss of the 'general' who, suddenly, was not standing at that corner that first un-nerved and then shocked the Afrika Army, then convulsed the Africa person, and; the Stools and Skins in Ghana habitat. Our ancestors are not pleased.

In any hours without a 'general', this 'army' – a creation of back-breaking toil and sweat of mother and father Afrika person of the different nationalities in the Afrika habitat of Ghana - should not be found wanting in steadying the body, mind and soul of the nationalities. It should not be lost that the Afrika nationalities' only purpose of educating and sourcing these high-level literary scientific and technological skills, knowledge and experiences is to enable access tools for making better decisions; especially in self-governance nation-building. The ONLY intended benefit remains improving quality of life, retention of pride and dignity; and the wealth, power and general happiness, of all the nationalities in the Afrika habitat. Our Ancestors will be pleased

Notes to Readers, Editor and References:
1. Epilogue: The tapestry of developing Ghana habitat still eludes the “Army” of Opinion-makers and Opinion-leaders not even with His Excellency President JEA Mills as its 'general'. Our productive investments in sons and daughters including His Excellency President JEA Mills have fallen short of the expectation of the nationalities. Many have fled abroad for lack of engaging and productive opportunities aligned with their acquired skills and knowledge. The 'stayees' live in poverty, and; the 'exilees' remit increasingly larger monies to sustain their family in Ghana habitat. Our “Army” of 'opinion-makers' and 'opinion-leaders' have not re-connected well with the nationalities to enable them make better decisions and lead Ghana and the Afrika Habitat in line with what the Nationalities like. JEA Mills for all held up that hope in our being; first symbolised by our forebears: Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Mrs. Hannah Cudjoe, Dr. J B Danquah, Dr. Kofi Abrefa Busia, General Bawa, Gamal Abdul Nasser, Steve Biko, Milton Obote, Tafawa Balewa, Patrice Lumumba, Ben Bella, Sekou Toure, Muarmar Gaddafi, Sekou Toure, Ruth First, Chris Hani, Samora Machel, etc., who experienced untimely passing on at the behest of anti-Afrika forces that murdered many.

7. About Christian Agbodza: Hails from Kpando of the Ghana habitat, and; a member of Convention Peoples' Party [CPP] UK & Ireland chapter. Christian believes the success of CPP's ideology is to save the Ghana habitat from non-African peoples' domination and control; and the Agenda of the (P) NDC-(P) NPP Duopoly in power and their supporting minority parties is to keep power and will/can only succeed by killing the CPP roots in the nationalities who OWN Ghana. Christian believes the rejuvenation of the CPP Red Cockerel by its Ghana's 'army of opinion makers and opinion leaders', Chiefs and nationalities of Ghana is to lead to a new habitat in which we own and control the land and its valuable assets and benefit from it. The CPP of today must initiate a politics of renewing its mandate by responding as appropriate to the clarion call from The Stools in the Ghana habitat and provide a habitable platform for Ghana's 'army of opinion makers and opinion leaders'.
