
Cape Coast, Aug.30, GNA - The Progressive People's Party (PPP) candidate for Cape Coast, Mrs. Ewurasi Bucknor on Thursday assured Ghanaians that the unemployment rate in the country will be tackled if the Party secures power in the upcoming elections in December.
She said the flagbearer of the Party, Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom is industrious and always on the lookout for avenues to create jobs for the people, particularly the youth and will do much if he becomes the President.
Mrs. Bucknor gave the assurance when she led some top officials of the Party to make a donation to the Oguaa Traditional Council at the Emintsimadze Palace in support of the Oguaa Fetu Afahye.
The weeklong Festival on the theme “Asafo Companies: the past, the present and the future” will be climaxed with a durbar of chiefs at the Cape Coast Jubilee park on Saturday, September 2.
The items donated include a bull, two creates of minerals and a carton of beer.
The Oguamanhen, Osabarima Kwesi Atta II, urged politicians to eschew politics of vilification and insults and rather engage in clean political campaigning, respecting each other's views.
He said Ghanaians were poised to avoid any politician who will engage in dirty politicking.
OsabarimaKwesi Atta reminded Ghanaians that they are one people and have only one country and so must engage in acts that will foster unity at all times.
