Thieves arrested during curfew hours in Hohoe

Hohoe, Aug. 16, GNA – The police have arrested Pius Boateng, alias “Bogey,” and Frank Yordor, his accomplice, for allegedly stealing a sack containing clothes, belonging to a trader, during curfew hours in Hohoe.

Mr John Adusei, Hohoe Municipal Police Commander, who confirmed the case to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), said that Boateng and Yordor stole the clothes belonging to Ms Salomey Bani, who was travelling to Dambai the northern part of the Volta Region.

The Police Commander said Ms Bani left the clothes with a private security man of the Hohoe branch of Coca Cola Company, and slept on a bus in the vicinity.

Mr Adusei said when the woman and the security man realized that the sack was missing at dawn they reported the matter to the Police.

The Police Commander said that when Boateng was arrested, some of the clothes were found in his room, and he mentioned Yordor as an accomplice.
