On behalf of the entire technical team and players of the senior national football team, the Black Stars, I wish to express my heartfelt condolence to former First Lady, H.E. Mrs Naadu Mills and the family of our late President Prof. John Evans Atta Mills.
The late President Mills was truly a great servant of Ghana football, having served as the Chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee in the 1990s.
Even after he left the post to serve the country in other fields, he followed the exploits of the Black Stars with immense passion.
We will never forget his inspirational pre-match advice and prayers with the Black Stars before several matches.
His presence and prayers in the dressing room before our 2010 Fifa World Cup match against the United States in South Africa will be forever be etched in our memories.
As the entire nation mourns the death of our late President, we pray to the Almighty God to grant him eternal rest and also comfort his wife, son and the entire nation.
SIGNED
JAMES KWESI APPIAH
HEAD COACH, BLACK STARS
