Bogoso (W/R), July 30),GNA - The Prestea Huni/Valley district in the Western region will hold a special vigil on Monday July 30, 2012 in honor of the late President John Atta Mills at the Bogoso funeral grounds.
The programme, to begin from 2000 hours to mid night, is part of activities marking the late Presidents one week celebration which comes off on July 31, 2012.
The constituency secretary of the National Democratic Congress party in charge of Prestea Huni/Valley, Mr. Matthew Aryeh said this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency on Monday.
He said the various Towns and villages within the district would also observe the one week celebration of the late President.
According to the constituency secretary, on Tuesday July 31, 2012 a brief documentary on the life of President Mills would be publicized.
He said sermons and prayers would be said for the soul of the late President and his family by the local council of churches and Muslim leaders in the district.
Mr. Aryeh called on Ghanaians to bury their political differences and rather unite to demonstrate to the rest of the world that even in political diversity, the whole country stands together in honouring the late President who led a modest and self-sacrificing life to mother Ghana.
