Accra, July 28, GNA – Management and membership of the Association of Quality Assurance (AQA) at the weekend expressed their deepest condolence to Mrs Naadu Mills and the family at the death of President John Evans Atta Mills.
A statement signed by Dr Nathaniel Gearing Parker, Director General of AQA for Africa and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra, said “this is a great loss to Ghana. May his soul rest in peace.”
The Association, however, extended congratulatory message to Mr John Dramani Mahama for being elected as President of Ghana.
Late President Mills died suddenly on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at the 37 Military Hospital after being taken ill few hours earlier.
Subsequently, in accordance with Article 60 (6) of the 1992 Constitution, at an emergency sitting in Parliament on Tuesday, July 24, 2012, Mr John Dramani Mahama was sworn in as the President.
