Tigo supports the 2012 Summer Fiesta Games

Accra, July 09, GNA - Tigo Ghana has supported some Catholic churches including Corpus Christi, St. Bhatika, All Saints and Our Lady of Mercy at this year's summer sports fiesta for the youth.
Tigo contributed cash, books, pens, mugs, bottles and T-Shirts valued at GH¢4000 to support the games.
Tigo Ghana Head of Marketing, Tenu Awoonor said, 'Sports is indeed an important activity in our lives as it promotes good health, peace and unity, and Tigo is committed to helping Ghanaian youth unearth their individual talents through sports'.
He said Tigo was committed to supporting the youth and also in delivering customers' needs.
He mentioned some of Tigo's innovative products such as Tigo Cash through, which the churches could pay their tithes conveniently, and Tigo Family Insurance, which becomes beneficial at the event of the policy holder or next of kin passing away.
Mr. Michael Amoah Awuah, Parish Youth Council Chairman, on receiving the items expressed gratitude to Tigo for the gesture.
'We are humbled, not all companies will support such an event considering the short period of notice.
According to him, Tigo Ghana had proved that it is a telecom operator that has the welfare of the youth at heart and would remained forever grateful.
