The maiden edition of the Gold Awards for Business Journalism (GABJ), instituted to recognize the achievements of business journalists and the attention given to business reportage will be launched on the 11th of July, 2012
The Awards which is been championed by Masoe Productions West Africa in partnship the Institute of Financial and Economic Journalists (IFEJ), an affiliate of the Ghana Journalists is expected to foster better relationship amongst business reporters and corporate entities.
Ahead of the grand event, Mr. Elijah O. Iposu, Event Director, informed press men that the Gold Awards will recognize and celebrate business journalists and media houses who have distinguished themselves through their works in the past year.
He revealed that “categories for nominations and eligibility for
application will be rolled out at the launch."
He observed that the decision for the Awards was reached after an extensive meeting between the planning committee and jury of the Awards headed by Nii Ama Dagadu with Mr. Tash Morgan, Corporate Communications Coordinator at Finatrade Group as deputy
He said Mr. George Anti Ohene, Country Manager of HP and representatives of Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry as well as Ghana Journalists Association have been invited to the launch of at the Airport West Hotel, Accra.
