On behalf of the people of the United States, I am delighted to send best wishes to the people of Seychelles as you celebrate your national day this June 18.
The United States and Seychelles share a strong history of partnership and cooperation based on shared priorities. In the Western Indian Ocean we are working to fight piracy and terrorism, strengthen economies, and promote maritime security.
The United States stands with all Seychellois citizens as you celebrate your national day. We are proud to count Seychelles as one of our strongest partners in Africa, and we look forward to continuing to reinforce this partnership in the years to come.
