The Bondage Of Sin Is Crushed

We are all born into a relationship with Sin.It is not something we enter into post our birth.We do not at any stage in our life sign a contract that binds us that 'I will submit myself to the authority of sin for the rest of my life'.We do not enter into a protracted negotiations on the terms of that relationship.

It is something as the book of Psalm 51 says we enter into,its before us and its by virtue of conception because of the hereditary nature of existence from Adam.

If we dive into Romans 6, sin dominates every thought,every word,every action in our lives,the enslavement of us in verse 6,dominion over us in verse 14.The enslavement,dominion and the reigning of sin over our lives is taking us into ever degrading way of life leading into lawlessness and immoral lawlessness leading to our daily destruction concluding in death.So as we can all see there is nothing attractive for us in this relationship.At no stage can we look at this relationship we were born into and say it has something good for us.That is the reality of life,not some religious concept neither is it a fragment of any individual or organisation's mind.it is the living reality of human life.And we see the evidence of it in the lives of people.

We see it in all corners in our Ghanaian society,lifestyle,politics,chieftancy etc and the manifestation of it isn't beautiful,isn't attractive,its horrific.There nothing good that can be said about sin enslavement of us.It affects all people around us,the ones we love.

Lets take Sin as a human talking to us 'Come and have a good time with me Sin says'.'And in that good time I will destroy u'.'think about the variety of abuses people give you'.'Come and I will enable u feel the real world'.'Come n have a taste or soak yourself in this or that substance'.

Whatever it is,it will damage you,your brain,your organs,your emotional system and damage your psychological well being to make you miss out on life.Not avoiding life but missing out.And at the end of the day then Sin says to u ' Well let me give u the best time of all'.'I am going to allow u to Die'.'I am going to take you to eternity where u will have horror and constant pain'.'there will be no presence of anything good'.'And don't worry God will deal with u,u are not that bad afterall, a lot are worser than you are'.Reality is that ,the day of judgement comes and Sin says,' This Is It my Friend,you missed your chance,U didn't listen'.

Its never a case of you saying now enough is enough ,I have had enough of this or that,I want stop sinning because its destroying my life.enslavement is enslavement and you can spend the rest of your life still trying hard to stop sinning because you donot have the power to do so.The more you fight sin the harder it becomes for to stop .The more you fight sin the more the Devil makes it available for you.Jesus not only paid for our sin but broke the bondage of our relationship with sin and sin was nailed to the cross.Jesus smashed sin and only clinging to Him means breaks that dominion.Then we must be in the persuit of doing what is right.Lets start this fight by giving our lives to Christ Jesus.

Thanks be to God this is the reality of the Christian life,We are no longer enslaved to sin.If we have died in Christ Jesus ,we believe we can also live with Him because Jesus will never die again as death do not have dominion over Him.Its once and for all.So present yourself to God as those brought to life from dead and be instrument for righteousness.We are dead to sin and alive to God and now slaves to righteousness.Romans 6;22-23 says 'But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God,the benefit you reap leads to holiness,and the result is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord'.
