The Municipal Chief Executive of Kintampo North, Alhaji Hon. Seidu Harrison, yesterday ( Tuesday, 22nd May, 2012) paid his first visit to Great Achievers Senior High School , a private owned institution at Babatokuma in the municipality to personally observe the growing standard of the school. The MCE on his arrival at the school campus became so happy on seeing the good innovative steps of the school. In his official speech, he stated that, he and his government were working hard to promote rural development in the country since it is the rural communities that are lacking behind development. He congratulated the proprietor of the school, Mr Jonah Kolimba on his good project and then urged the students of the school to make good use of the opportunity to become good future leaders for the nation to continue the better Ghana agenda that his government has laid as a strong foundation of national development.
According to him, the secondary school that he attended was a private school and due to his hard work, he was able to make it up to university. He added that, Students should always help their parents on holidays so that they could support them in their education. He promised to award the best ten students of the school in the forthcoming speech and prize giving Day in October, 2012.
He also presented some number of electricity poles to the school and promised to help the school get light when it was mentioned in the proprietor's speech as a problem facing the school. The MCE and his henchmen eventually had good interactions with both staffs and students of the school and then said farewell to the school.
