Mobile telecommunication giants MTN last Saturday presented a GH¢30,000 cash to Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the Ridge Park, Kumasi.
The donation was in fulfillment of the company's pledge in their contract with Kotoko that should they emerge winners in the 2011/12 league, they would be entitled to the said amount.
Preceding the donation was a celebration walk which attracted the corporate affairs manageress of MTN, Cynthia Lumor, and other officials of MTN, head coach of Asante Kotoko Maxwell Konadu and other members of the Red Army who walked through some streets of Kumasi.
A classroom block was also donated to the people of Juaso, a Kumasi suburb, during the occasion.
Kotoko are home and dry after amassing 60 points with a game in hand against Tema Youth this Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium.
