
Accra, May 16, GNA – A two-day Intergovernmental negotiations between Ghana and Germany started in Accra on Wednesday to build upon existing good bilateral relationship between the two countries.
A statement to the Ghana News Agency in Accra by Ms Anna Aku Shika Brown of the Public Affairs Department of the German Embassy said the negotiations would also consider the renewable energy sector.
According to the statement, Ghana and Germany enjoy a long-standing relationship in many spheres for many decades.
Germany's present commitment for the period 2010 – 2012 amounts to more than 150.0 million Euro, mainly in the area of Agriculture, Private Sector Development including Vocational Training and Financial Sector Development, Decentralization and Good Financial Governance.
Germany also directly contributes to the state budget under the Multi Donor Budget Support Programme.
