African Churches in Hamburg come under one Umbrella
01.05.2012 LISTEN

The history of Christianity is focused on the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The founders included those who had been the disciples of Jesus Christ. Along the line, Jesus instructed his disciples "Go into the entire world and preach the good news to all creatures."

Based upon this instruction, it has become prime responsibility of Christendom all over the world to live up to this soul-winning agenda.

The African Christian Council (ACCH) has thus been formed to organise Christians in pursuit of this divine crusade to spread the Gospel and also win souls for the Kingdom of God.

The organisation (ACCH) consists of a governing body of over 50 Christian Churches, founded in Hamburg by African Pastors. The ACCH is a member of the“Arbeitsgemeingschaft Christlicher Kirchen” in Hamburg.

The institution led by the church hierarchy, organised a special session to commemorate its formation and also inaugurated / dedicated their new offices in Hamburg over the weekend, Saturday 28th of April 2012.

"Today the church is opening her new offices to the general public at Jungerstr in Hamburg, Berliner Tor. The building can boast of few offices and a section is reserved for computer tuition and other formal vocations" the pastors hinted.

In attendance were a cross- section of the African community as well as other community leaders.Men and Women of God from (Africans & White Pastors) from various church denominations in and around Hamburg were also there to grace the occasion.

Pastor Martina Severin-Kaiser a.k.a (Mama Africa) of the Nordelbischen Kirche (NEK) gave the opening speech.

In his thanks giving speech, Pastor Prince Ossai Okeke (Chairman) of the ACC Hamburg did not only thank the invited guest, but went on to acknowledge the important role that Pastor Gunther Marwege of the Ev. Lutheran Kirchengemeinde in St. George / Hamburg in securing the location. He also thanked the state of Hamburg for their financial support, which has contributed immensely the success of their organisation and its objectives.

Several other pastors gave brief speeches. These included, Mr Kenneth Gbandi and Mrs Sylvaina Gerlich both members of the Hamburg integrationsbeirat and Emmanuel Asare of Agna e.V briefly introduced their programs to the invited guest and unanimously called for unity and peace among the African community.

The other goals of the council besides the preaching of the Gospel include, giving social / marriage counselling as well as to promote charity to the needy. It is a joint network between German foreign organisations in and outside Germany to integrate and strengthen the

African community.
The executive members behind the formation and the steering affairs of the ACCH are as follows: Pastor Prince Ossai Okeke (Chairman, Pastor John Amoaku (Vice Chairman), Pastor Rachel Owusu Afriyie (Treasurer), Apostle Boateng Bonah Sriboe (Secretary) Pastor Felix Boat (PRO), Pastors John Duku & Eric Boateng as the other executive members.

"Though as democratic as the church "Business“ has become, there is absolutely the need for checks and balances, discipline as well as code of Ethics to be highlighted as means of controlling most activities“. A Participant suggested.

On this note, one could assert that, the Pastors have demonstrated the strength in togetherness and unity.as said by Jesus Christ's prayer in reference to John 17 vrs 21 "I pray that, all of them may be one"

TopAfric (official media of the event based in Hamburg) gladly extends her appeal to the ACC Hamburg and other respective Pastors and Churches to be very instrumental in upcoming African Youth Education Award (AYEA) scheduled to take place on the 20th of October 2012 at the Handelskammer of Hamburg.
