
Cape Coast, April 29, GNA – Three persons died on the spot, on Sunday dawn, when a Yutong bus with registration number GN 4540-10, in which they were travelling run into three stationary vehicles and an electric pole.
This was after the driver had negotiated a sharp curve at the Yamoransa junction near Cape Coast.
A police source who made this known to the Ghana News Agency in an interview in Cape Coast said the passengers believed to have travelled from Kumasi towards Cape Coast got injured including the driver.
The source said the bus was suspected to be carrying about 49 passengers. The bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the Central Regional Hospital for identification and autopsy.
The injured persons are also receiving treatment at the same hospital.
The police are investigating the cause of the accident.
