Ho, April 15, GNA-A quasi-religious journal, “Frontier Magazine,” published by the Redeem Evangel Church has been repackaged and launched in Ho.
It was founded in 1987 but folded up in 2000.
Rev Christopher A. Titriku, General Overseer of the Redeem Evangel Church, speaking at the re-launch, said the thrust of the quarterly was two-fold; spread the gospel based on the perspectives of the African and build strong family values.
He observed that gospel tracts from America and Europe often did not meet the spiritual needs of the African.
Rev Titriku, who is Editor-In-Chief of the Magazine, promised that the publication, would tackle the nuances on spiritual issues, to reflect the cultural and traditions of Africans, for that matter Ghanaians, better.
He said all processes of the production of the magazine was done in Ho, which was indication that, businesses could be dreamed, groomed and sustained in small towns as well.
Mr Kennedy Deh, Editor, said the Frontier Magazine, a mass-circulating journal, with a current cover price of Ghc 4.00, would expand its editorial columns to cover health, family, finance and rural development.
He said the pages of the journal would reflect the demographic needs of all segments of society to make it relevant to people across the country and beyond.
One thousand copies printed were auctioned in packs of 10, eight, six for Ghc 100.00, Ghc 80.00 and Ghc 60.00, in that order.
The second edition of the magazine would be out in June.
