As has been the practice, Ghana Community Network Services Limited has begun its quarterly stakeholder meetings nationwide, to engage stakeholders on operational matters.

At the Accra and Tema meetings, held at the Holiday Inn Hotel and the Ghana Institute of Freight Forwarders (GIFF) conference room respectively, stakeholders were given the opportunity to appraise the system, and given some system updates, as well as transit and cargo tracking updates.

Additionally, representatives of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) Customs Division, and the e-Ghana Project office interacted with stakeholders addressing some Customs specific issues, as well as sensitising them on the new registration and re-registration of Tax Identification Numbers (TIN) for both old and new importers.

Other key stakeholders, including the Destination Inspections Companies (DICs), Ministries Departments and Agencies (MDAs), and Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA), were also invited to address issues pertaining to their areas of operations, which forms part of the clearance process.

Other stations to be visited include Takoradi, Elubo, Aflao, Paga and Kulungugu.
