Striker Asamoah Gyan was Sunday granted permission to return to club, Al Ain for an urgent assignment as the rest of national team traveled back home from the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Black Stars management committee granted a request to allow the player return to his club as the national team, which came fourth at the tournament arrived in Accra from the Nations Cup finals without the UAE-based striker.
Gyan's club, Al Ain sent a private jet to Malabo on Sunday morning to fly him back.
