Ladies and Gentlemen, Please join me on a cruise aboard NDC's newspapers, particularly The Ghanaian Lens and The Crystal Clear Lens. Turn to page 5 of Friday, 16th July, 2006 edition of the Crystal Clear Lens and you will be shocked at what is written under the “Hot Opinion Column”.

The headline was “Bad Luck Kufuor – Bad Omen for Black Stars”. Now, read on. “Ladies and Gentlemen, thinking about the great football displayed by the Black Stars two days ago, there seemed to be a possible blemish on the team. Both goals came from the same position being manned by a player called Kufour.

This Kufour guy was dozing when Italy made the short corner. I mean this is the World Cup for God's sake. Then came the great blunder in the latter stages of the game, when his back pass was too weak to reach the goalie thus allowing Italy to score.

Guess what, to make matters worse, and to add some vitality to this omen speculation, the bad luck President of Ghana, Agyekum Kufour was present at the game. Which President of any participating countries except that of the host country, Germany is attending the World Cup? How did this HIPC President finance this trip? Is Kufour's name a bad omen for Ghana? Imagine if the 'Kufours' were absent from Germany? Just imagine! Could we possibly be discussing a Black Stars victory, or at worse a draw game? “Why this bad luck called “Kufour?” If Ghana is unable to advance, the Kufours will have a lot of explaining to do.

“O Kufour! What a bad luck President! His bad luck at our opening match was so much that the biggest mistake of the night has to be made by a player bearing the same name. Why will the President not give bad luck when he callously leaves the striking doctors and dying patients to their fate while he himself, accompanied by his zozies are out there holidaying and having fun? How many leaders have left their countries to go and watch the World Cup? Even leaders of nations bordering Germany have not yet travelled the short distance. But as for our President!!! What a shame!

Killing workers softly: You see the ridiculous extent these NDC papers, which I am told are financed by top members of the party, including the President himself could go! No wonder the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Mr. Martin Amidu refers to them in most uncharitable terms. Teachers and most workers were not paid their December salaries on time to enable them enjoy during the Christmas festivities. This has never happened in the country and President Mills and his NDC will go down in history as the first and most callous Government to ever preside over the affairs of the country. Was the President not told that teachers had not been paid before he was 'flown' out of the country? And to make matters worse, there had been persistent announcements in both the Print and the Electronic Media by Squealer's Ministry of Misinformation that teachers would be paid three months of their outstanding salary arrears before this 'killing me softly' deceit of a coup d'état was enacted by the Government.

Mills, an insensitive President? If Government did not intentionally decide to punish workers by not paying them their salaries and allowances at the appropriate time, the President must wield the big stick. Heads must roll. This was a national crisis on an unprecedented scale. In any other country where the Government of the day has the interest of workers at heart, the President would have cut short his trip to return to the country immediately. But not this callous Government of President Mills!

Mischevious Publication: Now, let us cruise aboard the Ghanaian Lens publication of Tuesday, 25th September, 2007, (No 184). On its front page was this screaming headline “Kufour's One Week Vanishing Act…” Underneath it was “Did He Go for a Secret Surgery or He Just Went Having Fun at the Taxpayer's Expense?” The story was by one Maxwell Addo, a pseudonym, I presume!

“President John Agyekum Kufuor left Accra on Friday, 14th September, 2007 to hold bilateral talks with Canadian Prime Minister Mr. Stephen Harper and the Governor General Ms. Michaelle Jean. Indeed, indications are that President Kufuor may not have arrived in Ottawa at all. Some speculations have it that the President's schedules were cancelled to enable him undergo an urgent medical treatment. This speculation appears to be gaining grounds in view of media reports that President Kufuor may have been poisoned. But more cynical speculations have it that the President simply decided to get out of the country so as to stay away from the disasters that are afflicting his country men and women.

In the same edition was a Front Page comment under the headline “What an Insult!! “When a President abandons unfortunate victims of disaster in his country and travels out of the country with the excuse that he has 'other equally important assignments' to perform outside, the least such a President could do to demonstrate his commitment to seeking the welfare of his people is to rush back as soon as those other equally important assignments were cancelled.

“But not so with President Kufuor! For One Whole Week, Ghanaians were kept in the dark with regards to the whereabouts of President Kufuor, who left Ghana on Friday, 14th September, 2007 for Canada. Information available to the Ghanaian Lens has it that President Kufuor did not get to Canada and that none of the programmes took place. So “where was the President in the One Week that had suddenly been “freed” by the cancellation of his scheduled Canadian programme? Nobody seems to know.

A Blatant Lie! On Thursday, 27th September, 2007 edition of the same Ghanaian Lens (No185) Under 'Taking It Easy with Uncle JB' was “Ataa Ayi Kufuor was hiding with Giselle and the twins”. You see the kind of dishonest 'animal' that has mistakenly been given the mandate to govern this country of ours? Ataa Ayi Kufuor, who is believed to have been poisoned by one of his drivers, sought medical attention somewhere in New York after which he spent time with Giselle and the twins.

“Some people say that he had too much alcohol in his system and so spent one week de-intoxicating himself, but Uncle JB differs with that school of thought. There is no doubt that Ataa Ayi has too much alcohol in his system, but he did not spend one week de-intoxicating himself. Ataa Ayi, after getting the poison out of his system, spent some time with Giselle and the twins at a hide-out in New York.

“The man cannot yank himself away from the opening between the thighs of Giselle and so had to lie to the whole country so that he could spend time having raw sex with Giselle and spending time with the twins. Apparently, with the elections fast approaching and with Ataa Ayi Kufuor desperately trying to foist Allan Cash on the NPP, Giselle has seen it as an opportunity to cash in and make some good money and so threatened Ataa Ayi Kufuor to either show up in New York and give her some good raw sex as well as spend time with the twins (Phillip and John) or face her wrath. Ataa Ayi Kufuor had no option but to obey the command of Giselle lest she starts making trouble for him like she did sometime ago. Did you people get the picture?

“A smart woman sees an opportunity to hold her headless lover to ransom and so gets him to lie to his countrymen that he is leaving for “some important” engagements so she can have access to some good cash and the oversized uncircumcised dick of her man”. In the year 2000, a section of Ghanaians voted for “Positive Change” and seven years down the line, the positive change includes Ataa Ayi Kufuor wasting the taxpayers' money on useless trips to go and have raw sex with his concubines.

Food for Thought: Readers, I shall be magnanimous here. You see what goes up must surely come down, for if you throw a ball against the wall, it bounces back to you. The fact that the lion runs and looks back does not mean it is afraid. It wants to know the distance it has covered. One should not forget that action speaks louder than words, and one good turn deserves another.

President Mills also travels to the same Canada, had some 'hearty discussions' with the Ghana High Commissioner to that country but three days after the visit, the High Commissioner dies. What do you make of that? I am just being a bit curious. He then travels to the United States to spend the rest of his 'vacation' there. During the period of his 'incarceration' in the United States and Cuba, scandal upon scandal hit his government, but the President did not cut short his trip to return to Ghana and help resolve those issues.

We demand the truth: He returns home to meet a retinue of sycophants, hangers-on, devotees, cheer-leaders and mischief makers and the first words he utters after stepping foot on Ghanaian soil was his usual mantra, “Metease oo, Minwu ye oo”(I am alive, not dead oo). Then, one week after his return, he was “smuggled” in an ambulance to the airport to embark on a second visit to the US. We were told he had gone to meet some investors in the United States without being accompanied by any of the sector Ministers. If indeed, he wanted to meet the investor community in the USA, why did he have to return to Ghana and then go back after one week? Has he not caused financial loss to the country?

President Mills is indeed something oo. He travels and spends more than one month outside the country without being accompanied by his wife. And that was Christmas period when the harmattan was at its peak. How did he keep himself warm? Why prevent his wife from accompanying him? But the answer is not far-fetched. After, did he not ………..?

President Mills too has arrived: Indeed, in his CV, he had stated he enjoyed being attended to by white people to prove to everybody that he, President Mills, a black man has actually arrived. He has also confided in one trusted aide that one of the legacies he wants to leave behind is to be the most travelled Ghanaian President. And that was why, when he was in the Far East, he returned to spend the Census Night in Ghana, only to travel back to the Far East, the next day. Yes, he indeed caused financial loss to the country.

The President chose the wrong time to make his second trip to the United States. Aba! Why President Mills? Ghanaians are asking you before the Living God whom you profess to serve. Did you indeed go to the United States to woo investors to Ghana? Why did you not do so on your first visit? But if indeed you were there to meet investors, why choose the wrong time for the trip. Did you have to do so on St Stephen's day of all days? When challenged, the President's handlers stated that the 26th December is not a Public Holiday in the United States. It is rather the 25th December which is declared a Public Holiday. But the US Chapter of the New Patriotic Party issued a statement to rebut the President's assertion. That in the US like Ghana and other African countries, if a holiday falls on a week end, the following Monday is treated as a holiday. In this case, the holiday fell on Sunday, and so December 26 which was a Monday was declared a holiday. The statement went on to state that most people in the US, unlike President Mills are family oriented people who travel to various parts of the country to spend quality time with their families. During his first trip he spent in the US, Canada and Cuba, he left his wife behind in Ghana. And the week he was missing in action, his wife once again was left in the cold.

A point of digression: It would interest readers to know that Dr Obed Asamoah, whose return to the NDC was used as an occasion to berate ex-President Rawlings has been engulfed in one scandal after the other. Obed Asamoah 'stole' huge amount of the country's money, including scarce foreign currencies and hid them under his bed. Policemen who were guiding his residence decided to have'cut' of such Woyome's largesse. Yes, it was a public scandal. It is this same Obed Asamoah, who during the Second Republic acted as the Lawyer to some people who were resettled as a result of the construction of The Akosombo Das. What happened? He was then the MP for Biakoye Constituency. Their compensation was paid through him to be given to the affected settlers. But the people never got their monies. It was the 1972 coup that stopped his trial and prosecution in court. So the NDC harbours many 'Wayo'men in their midst. Don't forget Muntaka Mubarak. The Two NDC 'Lenses' should take note of this fact

Conclusion: Ghanaians are asking probing questions. “Where was President Mills during the Nine or so days he was missing in action? Did he inform Parliament through the Speaker before sneaking out of the country? Where was President Mills? Could the Generalissimo and Kingpin at the Castle, Ato Ahwoi tell Ghanaians where he hid the President? Would the ubiquitous, menacing 'Whimsical and capricious Medusa' man explain to Ghanaians where the President was when he went AWOL? Was he captured by aliens from outer space?

We pause for an answer!
