The Marriage of Kate and Williams

The royal wedding between Prince William & Catherine Middleton took off on Friday 29 April 2011 at Westminster Abbey. It attracted thousands of British and international visitors across the length and breadth of the world to witness this rare and occasional marriage ceremony. About £1,058,367 were contributed towards the success of the wedding ceremony.

The death of Osama Bin Laden

Osama Bin Laden was considered as the world's no.1 terrorist who instigated the September 11, 2001 attack on the twin towers in the United States of America. He is also considered as the founder and leader of the Al-Qaeda. Following the September 11 attack, US under President George Bush launched a man-hunt for Bin Laden which led to a war against Afghanistan and its environs. The whereabouts of Bin Laden became obscure and the rumors couldn't ascertain the facts well. But on the 1st May 2011, Bin Laden was killed on his own compound by US military forces in Abbottabad, Pakistan.

The capture and death of Muarmmar Al-Khaddafi

It began very smooth on the 15th February 2011, but Khaddafi underestimated the ignition of the revolution. Joined in by NATO and Arab league's mechinaries, Khaddafi's 42 years rule in Lybia came turmbling down leading to his capture and brutal assasination after months of fiery exchange between loyal forces to Khaddafi and the New Transitional Council. The death of Khaddafi occured on the 20 October 2011 at the age 69 years.

The sexual scandal of Dominique Strauss-Kahn

The chef of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) got himself in a mess when he flirted with the 32 year old maid Nafissatou Diallo on 14 May 2011, at the Sofitel New York Hotel in the United States of America. This sexual scandal led to his voluntrarily resignation from his post. After series of investigation, he was pleaded inculpable because of inconsistencies in the testimony of Nafissatou. Strauss-Kahn in an interview accepted a sexual affair but denied circumstances surrounding it like assault or violence.

Iran's Nuclear Weapon

The recent news about Iran's ambition in manufacturing nuclair has caused an insurgence between Iran and the US. The Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) accused Iran in November 2011 for building some nuclair weapons. Iran denied the allegations and gave a stern feedback as mere accusation and threat of war. The issue is still hanging on delicate strings. What will happen next in 2012?

Obama's Homosexuality agenda

As one of his major agenda, Obama has taken a firm decision to promote gay rights and further extend it alongside with America's foreign pollicies. In a recent delivery by Hilary Clinton in Geneva, she emphasized that gay rights are human rights and human rights are gay rights. The reiteration of gay rights by David Cameron to cut down aids to countries that abhor gay rights stired up a counter blow back from some African countries including Ghana, Nigeria, Uganda, Zimbabwe, etc. The issue is still pending and might be one of the toughest agenda that the US can achieve especially in Africa and Islamic countries, except terror is applied.

Harold Camping's False Prophecy

Harold Camping, an American evangelical broadcaster prophesized that there was going to be a rapture whereby 200 million of God's faithful children would be ascended to heaven. He further taught that the world would be destroyed by fire on the 21 October 2011. His prediction swept across the entire continent and was a subject for discussion all over. But 21st May passed and Harold still believed that God has judged the world spiritually and the final judgment will come on the 21st of August 2011. As you are aware we are in 2012 still alive. Jesus said,"But of that day and [that] hour knoweth no man..." (Mark 13:3).

Japan's Earthquake, Tsunami and Nuclear explosion

Considered to be the greatest hit after about 140 years, the strongest earthquake hit at a magnitude of 8.9 and 6 miles below sea level triggered a tsunamis of 10 meters high above sea level. The event swept buildings 235 miles (380km) away in Tokyo and it's environs. As a result of the heavy quake and tsunamis, there was a water leakeage into the Fukushima nuclear plant which blasted and killed more than 1,300 people. It was also reported that about 215,000 people were in emergency shelters. It was really a dark period for Japan.

Death of Steve Jobs (1955 - 2011)

He was a revolutionarist in the digital market. His ingenuity brought style and beauty into the digital revolution. The iPhone, iPod, iPad, Mac computers and laptops, etc are the best one can find in the market. To many of his colleagues in the Apple Inc., they considered him as a passionate creative co-worker. One of his mourners said, "Steve Jobs was truly a wizard among muggles." Millions of people got struck at the sudden annoucement of his death on October 5, 2011. May his sould Rest In Peace.

Economic Obsession in Europe and America

Nearly almost all European countries went bankrupt. It began with some member states and later on hit major states like Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece, UK etc. The UPS Bank, Switzerland's biggest bank lost about 2 billion Euros as result of careless trading. Greece was totally down and many firms began to close down in Italy. Unemployment increased in the United States. Getting to the end of the year it was reported that, France could be a potential target of the economic crisis. All these crisis ended up in massive demonstrations in the streets. As a means of solution, Vatican proposed a centralized global economic management. What will happen next from 2012?
