Brooklyn, NY
The National Democratic Congress cell in Brooklyn New York, USA has raised $10,550.00 since it was founded in September, 2011. According to Roger Brenya, Interim Treasurer, the money was raised at three fund raising meetings organized by the cell in Brooklyn. The money will be sent to Ghana to help with the campaign in re-electing President Mills to a second term.
The message from the Interim Chairman of the New York Brooklyn NDC; Mr. William Mfum to Ghanians is that we should not allow anything to disrupt the enviable democratic dispensation that has sucessfully handed over power election after election.
Under the Better Ghana Agenda, President Mills has continued capital projects his predecessor did not complete and has even been doing more than what we expected in the area of infrastructure. Ghanaians should retain this President in power for the next four years to finish the visionary Better Ghana Agenda project. As evidenced by the President's recent visit to the venerable New York Stock Exchange, Ghana's image abroad has risen high because of the President's insistent emphasis on good governance. As Chairman of New York Brooklyn NDC, "I urge all Ghanians to vote massively for our God-fearing President in the 2012 election".
In a related development, Mr. Johnny Walker, spokesman for the cell has confirmed that four members have signed up to travel to Ghana to help with the 2012 campaign. They are as follows; Hanna Brown, William Mfum, Nana Nsia Ababio and Johnny Walker. Mr. Walker mentioned that the weekly meetings in Brooklyn will continue until after the 2012 election.
