Half Assini (W/R) Nov. 30, GNA - The Half Assini District Magistrate Court on Wednesday remanded a farmer at Moaguan village near Elubo in the Western Region, in prison custody for inflicting cutlass wounds on his father and brother.
The plea of Francis Kudevor was not taken and the court ordered him to re-appear on December 5.
Prosecuting Police Chief Inspector Robert Owusu, told the court presided over Mr Hans Kofi Kpogo that on November 16 this year, Mr Johnson Kudevor returned from the Elubo market and meet his sons, Anana Kudevor and Francis Kudevor quarreling.
The prosecution said when Kudevor asked what brought the misunderstanding, the accused became offended and suddenly inflicted deep cutlass wounds on the father and brother and fled into the bush.
He said the victims were sent to the Eikwe Catholic Hospital where the father was treated and discharged, but the Anana was admitted.
Chief Inspector Owusu said the elder brother of the victim with the assistance of neighbours arrested Kudevor and sent him to the Elubo Police Station.
