Helping Ghanaians living in Europe get solutions to issues weighing them down
The Akwantuomunsem talk show, a Radio Focus programme that provides practical advice and support to Ghanaians living in Europe has been awarded the best welfare radio show in the UK in 2011. The founder and host of the show Amansanboafo Osei-Frimpong was given this award at the Ghana Kente Media Awards which took place on Saturday 12th November 2011 at Luton, United Kingdom.
The show is supported by the Amansan Network, a network of Ghanaian professionals from different backgrounds and Radiofocus a Ghana radio station based in UK . “I am very grateful for this award,” says Amansanboafo Osei-Frimpong. I thank all supporters and listeners of the show and will continue to work with fellow Ghanaians to give the best possible advice and support to ease the burden of Ghanaians living in Europe” he continues.
The Akwantuomunsem show supported by the Amansan Network also produces the Amansan magazine. Following on from the success of the show, the Christian-based magazine was launched in June 2011. It provides readers insight and in-depth information on various issues that affect Ghanaians living in the diaspora.
Ghanaians living in the diaspora are at the heart of the Akwantuomunsem show and will continue to do so in the coming year, says Amansanboafo Osei-Frimpong.
