The Black American Troy Davis Is Executed In The USA Despite Worldwide Protests

Despite worldwide protests, a convicted murder of an American Police officer, Troy Davis was yesterday, Wednesday evening in the U.S. state of Georgia executed.

Davis, who had always stressed of his innocent in the 20 years on death row died at Jackson State Prison at 21.08 clock GMT (05.08 Time in Georgia USA) by lethal injection, a prison official told reporters.

Troy Davis death chamber in the state prison in Jackson/Georgia have since 2001, being killing convicted murders with a lethal injection.

Until recently, the lawyers of the 42-year-old Davis has been fighting for an execution delay and called upon as a last resort just before the execution date of the U.S. Supreme Court in Washington. The nine judges of the Supreme Court took several hours to reject the request of the defence.
