Half Assini (W/R), March 29, GNA — A 13-year-old pupil of Compound Primary School, Master Yaw Amoah was killed by a vehicle at Half Assini in the Western Region, while crossing a road at the weekend.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) John Ferguson Dzemeku, Jomoro District Police Commander told the Ghana News Agency at Half Assini, that about 1830 hours on that day, the deceased was crossing the main highway at Elubo when the vehicle which was heading towards Sowogzemu on top speed knocked him.
DSP Dzemeku said the deceased was rushed to the Ekwe Catholic Hospital but died upon arrival.
He said the driver of the vehicle; Francis Arthur, has been placed in police custody for further investigations.
