A speech made by NPP aspiring Member of Parliament for Tema East Daniel Nii Kwartei Tituas Glover during his campaign.A speech made by NPP aspiring Member of Parliament for Tema East Daniel Nii Kwartei Tituas Glover during his campaign.

Below is the Speech
I believe that it is time for Tema East constituency (NPP) to have a Parliamentary Candidate who is very popular and marketable-- one who is competent, team player, Very Inspirational, The people's Choice, Effective and Efficient Communicator and above all have superior Leadership attribute and can compliment the effort Nana Akufo Addo to win Executive Power in 2012.

As the Parliamentary candidate, my campaign will focus on the issues and problems of the people of the constituency, my region and my country Ghana.

When elected to Parliament, I will focus on protecting the jobs of the fisher folks; the manufacturing industries within Tema, youth development, The Golden Youth Centre (C.4) will be turned to a modern library, facelift New-Town Clinic to a Polyclinic and unite the constituency. Women empowerment and development will be pursued with a sense of urgency

In pursuit of this agenda, I will reach out to people of all parties, all Identifiable groups, women, and religious leaders within the metropolis.

We are in the middle hour of our discontent with an NDC government that has clearly lost its focus. President Mills and the NDC government have broken promise after promise to our farmers, fishermen, teachers, market women and Ghanaians in every walk of life.

It has raised taxes on construction, on tourism, rice and virtually everything.

The NDC government has divided us as we have never been before and fostered a culture of violence and intimidation. They criminalise success and glorify poverty by tagging affluent people with as thieves.

It is clear that the “BETTER GHANA” agenda will never be realized under this government. Indeed, we are clearly retreating from it.

I say to you that Ghana can do better and there is hope. Ghanaians are yearning for the NPP to return to government. Ghanaians know that despite our faults (challenges), we were and will be a far, far better government than the NDC, to return Ghana to the path of a better country, with development and job opportunities for our youth, with peace and prosperity, we need to reclaim our Parliamentary majority and the Presidency in 2012.

The centre of that struggle will be here in the Greater Accra Region and Tema East (ranked 9th in Ghana) will spearhead this agenda. My candidacy symbolises hope, inspiration and gives the ordinary man/woman the sense of belonging. The days of Coat and Ties and elitism are over. My campaign will symbolize ideas, tolerance and to draw votes for our great party. Get involved and get on board.

I will bring on board and into the voting booths historic numbers of floating voters and NDC members. Tema will have the highest voter turnout and our party will have unprecedented positive figures to put the party back to it glory days.

Kukruuudu……Unity!
Kukruuudu……Executive Power!!
Kukruuudu……All Die Be Die!!!
Let the contest begin and God bless you all.
