Ghana is endowed with enough resources to help her achieve a middle income status sooner than proposed. It is obvious that Ghana has all it takes for her to be as developed as any other country.

Considering the Fertile lands for cultivating crop, gold, bauxite, diamond and the crude oil recently discovered Ghana is expected to live above what she is now.

The land of Ghana is rich but Ghanaians are poor.
Our dependable rivers are always there to help us carry out our economic activities and the two favorable seasons that we have in a year are also doing their best.

Why are we still bearing the name 'developing country'? Most of the countries that support our budget are less endowed with the resources at our disposal as a nation. Why then are we still lacking?

Inadequate finance to explore and exploit our natural environment is one of the major challenges of this country.

We have a lot of natural resources available, but we find ourselves going to donor countries for assistance to explore those resources, the technical know-how needed for the exploration of such natural recourses is not readily available.

The poor management of our natural resources is what collapsed our once very promising economy.

We still face management problem in our country, and political short sightedness where politicians work hard only for votes to win the next election.

I therefore appeal to the government to strengthen its institutions to perform effectively in managing our resources and to have a long-term economic plan for the country.
