PHC Motors sets up Technical Motor Institute in Kumasi

Ghanaian automobile firm, PHC Motors plans to establish a modern automobile training centre in Kumasi next year.

The Technical Motor Institute would be situated in the prime commercial area of the Garden City, where PHC has acquired a 12 acre plot of land which will also house a new showroom and service centre.

Managing Director, Paul Kwabena Pepera, says the project is part of the company's investment to set up international standards in vehicle sales and servicing in Ghana.

He was speaking at the launch of Land Rover vehicles in Kumasi. Land Rover re-appointed PHC Motors as its sole dealer for Ghana in February 2009.

Mr. Pepera says the company has over the last year being undergoing intensive training, investing in equipment and assembling its team to handle the franchise.

“Indeed aside from its extensive contacts in the private and public sector alike, one of the reasons why Land Rover decided to re-appoint PHC Motors as its sole dealer in Ghana is our legendary after sales service and close attention to customer care”, he stated, adding that “we at PHC Motors are not interested in the 'sell and run' practices of many other motor dealers”.
