Forty-five employees of AngloGold Ashanti's were conferred with various degrees at a colourful congregation at Ghana the Institute of Management and Public Administration at Greenhill in Accra last Saturday, after successful course at the institute. They undertook courses in bachelor and postgraduate diploma course in management.
Keith Faulkner, AngloGold Ashanti Vice President for Ghana In a brief speech to the new graduates commended both GIMPA and the students for their handwork, saying that AngloGold Ashanti would continue to give priority attention to hard working employees who want to improve their capability and skills.
AngloGold Ashanti, he noted is undergoing transformation and restructuring all over and the objective is to ensure efficiency and effectiveness, and this therefore requires new skills to power the changes.
Faulkner hoped the students would use their newly acquired capabilities to help in the transformation programme in the company's operations to ensure growth and profitability.
