Warning: A new trick to rob you of your car or valuables

DEAR ALL,
As the Xmas period approaches, some criminals are getting smarter, laying siege on unsuspecting victims. Some of them have reportedly devised a new trick aimed at stopping unsuspecting motorists at night.

It is advised that if you have some eggs thrown at your vehicle's windshield while driving at night, do not operate your wiper or spray any water. And try not to stop immediately!

Be reminded that eggs mix with water rather easily and becomes milky which may blur your vision up to 92.5 %, thereby forcing you to stop abruptly. When that happens, the criminals will emerge and rob the victim of his/her valuables.

If you have eggs thrown at your vehicle's windshield while driving at night, do not stop immediately or attempt to use your wiper. Try and gain some distance, using the part of your windshield that is not affected until you are some distance from the point of attack. That is when you can stop at a safe location for a thorough wash of the windshield.
